Exalted - Three Tales
The Orochi kojo is an old facility that has been in the Orochi, family for a long time. originally created during the age of the shogunate, as a personal arms workshop. over the years it has served many purposes. for years now the Orochi family has used it as storage, for its bulk materials. But Orochi maru recognized its true worth and so upon his return to the blessed Isle he was awarded its hearth stone.
the manse can be clearly split into two main parts. the main part of the manse is a large open courtyard surrounded by a number of small personal work shops. the open space in the workshop is covered by a tent like structure made from a translucent but weatherproof fabric. the same fabric covers the entrance stopping the outside weather from entering.
the second area is a medium sized structure at the back of the complex. the ground floor is given over to the resting bays for the clockwork servants that serve the manse and its master, above this is the library. it is filled with books. the books them selves are a part of the manse, any one reading the book can access any information stored within the manses extensive archive. above this is the living quarters, a series of comfortable suites fit for one of the exalted. lastly above all of this is the hearth chamber, a flat platform at the apex of the roof, a constant wind blows over the platform no matter the weather, the wind is never strong enough to blow someone off of the roof. in the center of the platform there is large treadmill. One day out of every month some one has to walk on the treadmill winding up the manse. during this day the servant workforce need to be attached to their rest points and cannot engage in any other activity.
